Fish, Tuli's pet, narrates the story, and this eccentricity, in addition to the whimsical amalgam of digressions and chance events in Tuli's life, unfolds like the French film, Amelie. And they were his pride and joy. The way the author interjects thoughts and experiences really takes you on a lot of emotional journeys. It's outside my normal genres of interest, but I found it to be rewarding and satisfying. Even though the book is not long, and doesn't cover a great span of time, you feel like you experienced a lot by time you're done.
